FOR A RAINY AFTERNOON

Hello my dear readers!

In this article i’m going to recommend you two films and a book, in case you get bored at home or simply you want to entertain a bit. The first film that I’m going to recommend you is the film A Monster Calls, the second will be the book saga of twilight an the last is the film My Neighbour Totoro.



A MONSTER CALLS


The film premiered on September 10, 2016 at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival. It was then released in Spain on October
Conor O'Malley is a young boy who tries to deal with the terminal illness of his mother and the attacks by local school bully Harry. One night, Conor encounters a "monster" in the form of a giant humanoid yew tree who has come to tell him stories and soon begins to help Conor fix his unhappy life.

In a rainy day of October, my friends and I went to the cinema to watch a film. We didn’t know what to see and finally we decided to see this film because it looks good. When the film finished, all my friends and I were fascinated and crying. It is a very beautiful and wonderful film. It reflects our scares and a way of leading with them. I really recommend you.





TWILIGHT

Twilight is a series of four vampire-themed fantasy romance novels by American author Stephenie Meyer. Released annually from 2005 through 2008, the four books chart the later teen years of Isabella "Bella" Swan, a girl who moves to Forks, Washington, and falls in love with a 104-year-old vampire named Edward Cullen. The series is told primarily from Bella's point of view, with the epilogue of Eclipse and Part II of Breaking Dawn being told from the viewpoint of character Jacob Black, a werewolf.

In my opinion this saga is very very entertaining because it is difficult romance that has a lot of slowdown but they get over with all of them. It is a fiction saga but I really recommend you because it’s easy to read despite the amount of pages that it has.


MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO


My Neighbor Totoro is a 1988 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film tells the story of the two young daughters (Satsuki and Mei) of a professor and their interactions with friendly wood spirits in postwar rural Japan. The film won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize and the Mainichi Film Award and Kinema Junpo Award for Best Film in 1988. It also received the Special Award at the Blue Ribbon Awards in the same year.


It is really funny film, I enjoy it alot when I saw it for the first time when I was only 7 years. During the years I’ve been seen it, maybe 5 times! I actually love it and I absolutely recommend you!

BOB DYLAN

Bob Dylan is an American songwriter, singer, artist, and writer. He was born in May 1941 In Duluth, Minnesota but nowadays he lives in Malibu, California. He has been influential in popular music and culture for more than five decades. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s, when his songs chronicled social unrest.

In May 1960, Dylan dropped out of college at the end of his first year. In January 1961, he traveled to New York City, to perform there and visit his musical idol Woody Guthrie,who was seriously ill with Huntington's disease in Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. Guthrie had been a revelation to Dylan and influenced his early performances. Describing Guthrie's impact, he wrote: "The songs themselves had the infinite sweep of humanity in them... [He] was the true voice of the American spirit. I said to myself I was going to be Guthrie's greatest disciple.

In the early 1970s, critics charged that Dylan's output was varied and unpredictable. Rolling Stone writer Greil Marcus asked "What is this shit?" on first listening to Self Portrait, released in June 1970. It was a double LP including few original songs, and was poorly received. In October 1970, Dylan released New Morning, considered a return to form.

In this article I am going to talk about the social sites, about their advantages and disadvantages, the different meanings of a 'friend' in reality and in the websites and about the privacy in these social websites.

Nowadays, there are many different social sites, like for example: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Whatsapp. These social sites, have many advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages would be that we can make new friends, we can speak with new people, we can find a romance, or simply we can chat with our real friends; it's another way of communicating.

But also they have lots of disadvantages. For example: sometimes, people can see your private information, more than you want, nowadays there are many people that create false profiles to cheat you, and also recently we have heard about cyber bullying. You may be wondering: What is cyberbullying?

The use of social networks may expose individuals to forms of harassment or even inappropriate contact. This can be especially true for teens and younger children. Unless parents diligently filter the Web content their family views, children could be exposed to pornography or other inappropriate content.

Besides unleashing age-inappropriate content, the digital age also gave birth to a social phenomenon - cyberbullying. It is often levied more harshly against young females than males and, unlike traditional bullying, it is not limited to physical interaction. Cyberbullying can happen 24 hours a day, every day of the week. Adding to this realm of cyber abuse are the anonymous social media sites which can elevate the severity of the assault - under the false promise of privacy.

At the beginning of the article I have said that also I'm going to talk about the differences between 'a friend' in reality and a friend on a website. So here it is!

A traditional friend is a person who you can meet at the weekends or whenever you want, and a person who you can tell your problems or your secrets. That he or she is going to help you in hard decisions, or in your bad moments. But if you have a friend on a website it is absolutely different, the person that is behind the screen doesn't see you and he or she can't meet you. It's true that that friend can help you, but she or he is not going to be physically with you.

GUNS N' ROSES

In this article I'm not going to talk about politics, or about the economic crisis, in this article I'm going to talk about my favourite music band, the best band in the world: Guns N' Roses


Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles formed in 1985. The classic lineup, as signed to Geffen Records in 1986, consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The current lineup consists of Rose, Slash, McKagan, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese, guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer

One year ago, my sister recommended me to listen to a lot of music bands, one of them was Guns N’ Roses. I started to listen and I became addicted, I couldn’t stop. It gives me energy and motivation. My favourite album is Appetite For Destruction and my favourite song is Sweet Child O’Mine.
